A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be unbelievably easy if you have a Linux cloud web hosting package with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the shared hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you’ve created listed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately let you know whether a specific mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature at any time. If there is activated email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will get a warning message from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox without effort even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
